LOS ANGELES, Aug. 12 (UPI) -- U.S. filmmaker George Lucas and his wife, DreamWorks Animation Chairwoman Mellody Hobson, have become the parents of a daughter born via surrogate.

Everest Hobson Lucas, the first biological child for both parents, was born last Friday, The Huffington Post said.

Lucas, 69, and Hobson, 44, were married in June.

The "Star Wars" creator also has three adopted children -- Amanda, 32, Katie, 25, and Jett, 20.
