NEW YORK, July 10 (UPI) -- U.S. actor Jeff Daniels says the long-gestating sequel to 1994's "Dumb and Dumber" will begin shooting in September.

"Everybody's there, Jim in particular. It'll be so great to be with Jim Carrey again. He is just one of the best we've got," Daniels said on Monday's edition of "Late Show with Jimmy Fallon."

"Dumb and Dumber To" is set for a 2014 release -- just in time for the 20th anniversary of the original comedy blockbuster.

While the characters might be older in the followup, Daniels said they aren't much wiser two decades later.

"We're middle-aged and we're still that stupid," he said.
