Pierce Brosnan's daughter married beau shortly before she died

LONDON, July 4 (UPI) -- Irish film star Pierce Brosnan's daughter Charlotte married her artist boyfriend two weeks before she died of ovarian cancer at the age of 42, The Sun reported.

The "Mamma Mia!" actor and former James Bond portrayer walked his daughter down the aisle when she wed Alex Smith, while Charlotte's 15-year-old daughter, Isabella, served as a bridesmaid.

"It was the most moving day of my life. It wasn't a day to be sad. Alex and Pierce were smiling broadly," a wedding guest told the British newspaper.

Brosnan, 60, announced Monday his "darling daughter" had died June 24 from the same disease that killed Cassandra Harris, Charlotte's mother and Brosnan's first wife, in 1991 at age 43.
