Hanks to star in film adaptation of 'Hologram for the King'

LOS ANGELES, June 13 (UPI) -- Hollywood actor Tom Hanks is to star in a big-screen adaptation of Dave Eggers' book, "A Hologram for the King," Deadline.com reported.

The film is about a struggling businessman who heads to Saudi Arabia to try and reverse his fortune, the report said.

Tom Tykwer is directing "Hologram" and also wrote the screenplay.

Twyker was one of the three directors -- along with Lana and Andy Wachowski -- behind the camera on Hanks' 2012 film "Cloud Atlas."
