LOS ANGELES, June 11 (UPI) -- Troubled actor Edward Furlong is back in a Los Angeles County jail and will remain there until he posts and additional $50,000 bail, TMZ reported Tuesday.

Furlong was arrested last month for allegedly violating a restraining order obtained by his former girlfriend. He was released from police custody after posting $50,000 bail.

However, Furlong was back in court Monday and the judge overseeing the session decided his previous bail amount wasn't enough and raised it to $100,000, TMZ said.

Furlong was remanded to the jail where he will stay until he posts the remainder of the bail.

His next court hearing is scheduled for later this month, the celebrity news website said.

Furlong's film credits include "American History X" and "Before and After."
