LOS ANGELES, May 10 (UPI) -- The divorce of Hollywood actor Terrence Howard and his ex-wife Michelle Ghent was finalized this week, court records show.

Ghent filed for divorce in February 2011 after a year of marriage.

She accused the "Red Tails," "Iron Man" and "August Rush" actor of beating her, while Howard claimed she was a racist.

TMZ said the divorce order ensures Howard gets most of the marital property, including two houses in Pennsylvania and all 25 of his bank accounts.

However, he must pay Ghent $5,800 a month in spousal support for the next three years, the celebrity news website said.
