BURBANK, Calif., May 9 (UPI) -- Actress Amanda Bynes has been placed on three years of probation after pleading no contest to driving with a suspended license, officials in California said.

TMZ reported Bynes' lawyer, Rich Hutton, agreed to the plea deal on her behalf in a Burbank court Thursday.

The judge overseeing the case warned Bynes not to drive without a valid license and insurance, and ordered her to pay a $300 fine, the celebrity news website said.

Charges were filed against the "Hairspray" and "What a Girl Wants" actress in September after she was pulled over in Burbank, Calif., and police discovered her license was suspended.

Bynes lost her license because of two hit-and-run charges that were filed against her. Those charges were ultimately dismissed.
