Benjamin Bratt replaces Al Pacino in 'Despicable Me 2'

LOS ANGELES, May 7 (UPI) -- Benjamin Bratt has replaced Al Pacino as the villain in Hollywood's animated sequel "Despicable Me 2," Deadline said Tuesday.

"Scarface" and "The Godfather" star Pacino left the family movie during the weekend because of creative differences, the report said.

Bratt is best known for his work on TV's "Law & Order" and in the movies "Miss Congeniality" and "Catwoman."

"Despicable Me 2," starring Steve Carell, is set for release July 3.
