LOS ANGELES, April 18 (UPI) -- Los Angeles police say they arrested an alleged knife-wielding woman who refused to leave the home of "American Pie" actor Eddie Kaye Thomas.

Thomas, who played Paul Finch in the blockbuster film franchise, was not in his Hollywood Hills home at the time of the incident Wednesday night, the Los Angeles Times reported.

The woman, who has not been identified to the media, allegedly barricaded herself inside the house and refused to leave, leading to a standoff that lasted hours.

Police eventually fired flash bang grenades and tear gas into the home, then took the woman into custody, the Times said.

The newspaper did not say what criminal charges the woman may face or whether she has been released on bail.
