Hollywood star Clark Gable's son arrested for DUI

MALIBU, Calif., April 3 (UPI) -- John Clark Gable, the 52-year-old son of the late screen icon Clark Gable, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, Malibu, Calif., police say.

Gable was arrested Tuesday afternoon after he allegedly rear-ended a vehicle near the Malibu Pier, then hit six parked cars along the Pacific Coast Highway, with his white Ford Raptor, reported KTLA-TV, Los Angeles.

Gable was booked on suspicion of driving under the influence and hit-and-run.

No injuries were reported in the incident.

The celebrity offspring was in the news last April after his 41-year-old girlfriend, celebrity makeup artist Christiane Candice Lange, was found dead at their home of an accidental prescription drug overdose.

Gable's father, Clark, is famous for his roles in "It Happened One Night," "Mutiny on the Bounty," "Gone with the Wind" and "The Misfits." He died of a blood clot after a heart attack in 1960 at the age of 59. John Clark Gable was born four months after his father's death.
