LOS ANGELES, March 6 (UPI) -- A Los Angeles Superior Court judge has sentenced troubled actor Edward Furlong to 180 days in jail for violating his probation, records show.
The star of "Terminator 2: Judgement Day," "Before and After" and "American History X" was placed on three years probation in 2010 for violating a civil protective order obtained by his then-wife, Rachael Kneeland.
TMZ said he was sentenced Monday to six months in jail for violating his probation by using force against his ex-girlfriend, Monica Keena and for ignoring a protective order stating he was to have no contact with Keena.
Furlong, 35, has battled addictions to drugs and alcohol for years, but continues to work regularly. IMDB.com said he has numerous projects in the pipeline and was seen last year on the TV shows "Perception" and "The Glades," as well as in the small-screen movie "Arachnoquake."
