Kristen Stewart's mom files for divorce

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 31 (UPI) -- Jules Stewart, the mother of actress Kristen Stewart, has filed for divorce from her husband, John, in Los Angeles County Superior Court, records show.

TMZ said Jules Stewart, a writer and director, began the process Aug. 17 to legally end her 27-year marriage to John, a TV producer and stage manager.

She cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split and noted the date of her separation from John as June 15, 2010.

Kristen Stewart recently broke up with her longtime beau and "Twilight" co-star, Robert Pattinson, after she admitted she cheated on him with her married "Snow White and the Huntsman" director Rupert Sanders.
