Multiple sources told Variety Warner Bros. executives plan to talk soon to Affleck, the only directorial candidate who has read Will Beall's "Justice League" script.

The popcorn flick is expected to feature iconic characters Batman, Superman, Green Lantern, Wonder Woman and The Flash.

Variety said DC Entertainment, Warner Bros. and Affleck's representatives declined to comment on its story.
