NEW ORLEANS, July 31 (UPI) -- Police in New Orleans say they have issued an arrest warrant for Cuba Gooding Jr. after a bartender accused the Oscar-winning actor of assaulting her.

The entertainment news Web site TMZ said a misdemeanor battery warrant was issued after the woman filed a complaint alleging the 44-year-old "Jerry Maguire" and "Red Tails" star shoved her against a wall at The Old Absinthe House on Bourbon Street about 2 a.m. Tuesday.

The unidentified accuser said she asked Gooding to leave the saloon because he was being verbally abusive to patrons trying to snap his picture, TMZ reported.
