LOS ANGELES, July 13 (UPI) -- Hollywood star Brad Pitt isn't talking to his "World War Z" director Marc Forster, sources on the set of the zombie movie told New York magazine.

Pitt, who also is a producer on the $170 million film, is using intermediaries to communicate with Forster as the production heads into at least three weeks of re-shoots and does not yet have a clear ending, insiders told the magazine's Vulture column.

A representative for Creative Artists Agency, which represents both Pitt and Forster, declined to comment on the situation, which has caused the flick's release date to be pushed back several months, Vulture said.

Forster's film credits include "Monster's Ball," "Finding Neverland," "Stranger than Fiction" and "The Kite Runner." His only previous big-budget movie was the James Bond film "Quantum of Solace."
