NEW YORK, June 1 (UPI) -- U.S. author Lauren Weisberger is working on a sequel to her 2003 blockbuster novel, "The Devil Wears Prada," EW.com reported.

"Revenge Wears Prada: The Devil Returns" is to be published next April.

The first book inspired the hit 2006 film of the same name starring Meryl Streep as Miranda, a demanding, successful editor of a New York fashion magazine, and Anne Hathaway as Andy, the young, recent college graduate who tries to meet her ridiculous expectations. Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci played Andy's equally talented, but poorly treated co-workers.

"Revenge Wears Prada" finds Andy editing The Plunge, a popular bridal magazine, eight years after the events of the first book, EW.com said.
