LOS ANGELES, March 21 (UPI) -- Actress Penelope Ann Miller has filed for legal separation from her husband James Huggins, Los Angeles Superior Court documents show.

The former couple were married nearly 12 years and have two children.

People.com said the star of "The Artist" and "The Freshman" cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the breakup.
