'Descendants,' 'Paris' win writing honors

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 20 (UPI) -- The Writers Guild of America honored "Midnight in Paris" and "The Descendants" with awards for Best Original Screenplay and Adapted Screenplay, respectively.

"Better This World," written by Katie Galloway and Kelly Duane de la Vega, won the prize for Best Documentary Screenplay.

The guild also recognized TV's "Breaking Bad," "Modern Family," "Homeland," "The Colbert Report" and "General Hospital" for outstanding writing.
