LOS ANGELES, Jan. 17 (UPI) -- A Los Angeles judge commended troubled actress Lindsay Lohan Tuesday for completing her required community service on time.

Lohan is on probation for a drunken driving conviction and various court violations stemming from it.

Judge Stephanie Sautner praised the "Mean Girls" and "Freaky Friday" star at a status hearing Tuesday morning, telling the actress her probation officer had written a positive report about her recent behavior, TMZ reported.

"Keep doing what you're doing. You appear to be doing very well," Sautner said.

Lohan is due back in court Feb. 22.

The 25-year-old former child star is on the comeback trail after years of drug addiction and legal troubles stalled her once-bright acting career. She most recently appeared in a photo spread for Playboy magazine and is again auditioning for film roles.
