LOS ANGELES, Aug. 15 (UPI) -- Canadian-born comedian Mike Myers is in talks to write, produce and star in a fourth Austin Powers movie, sources told the Web site Hitfix.

"Austin Powers in Goldmember" was the last film about the outrageous secret agent frozen in the 1960s and thawed out in the 1990s to battle modern-day evil. "Goldmember" was released in theaters in 2002.

The Hollywood Reporter said the first three movies, which were directed by Jay Roach, grossed a combined $676,356,278 worldwide.

Myers has lent his voice to the lead character in the "Shrek" blockbusters in recent years, but hasn't appeared in many live-action films during the last decade.

His last movie "The Love Guru" was panned by critics and earned only $40.8 million worldwide when it was released in 2008, the entertainment industry trade newspaper said.
