LOS ANGELES, June 10 (UPI) -- Estella Warren has been charged with misdemeanor drunken driving, hit-and-run, battery on a police officer and resisting arrest, officials in Los Angeles said.
The 32-year-old actress is best known for her work in the films "The Planet of the Apes" (in 2001) and "Kangaroo Jack."
The charges against her stem from a May 23 arrest during which she allegedly drove under the influence of drugs or alcohol, hit several cars, then tried to escape from the police station where she was being booked.
People.com said Warren is scheduled for arraignment June 17.
Warren has a previous 2007 conviction for driving under the influence, the Web site noted.
