'Thor' again stomps to No. 1 at box office

LOS ANGELES, May 15 (UPI) -- "Thor," starring Natalie Portman and Anthony Hopkins, was No. 1 at the U.S. box office for the second straight weekend with $34.5 million.

Gal-pal comedy "Bridesmaids," with an ensemble company featuring Kristen Wiig, was a strong second with more than $24.4 million.

All studio estimates of gross box office receipts are via Box Office Mojo.

"Fast Five" was third with more than $19.53 million; "Priest" fourth with $14.5 million; "Rio" fifth with $8 million; "Jumping the Broom" sixth with $7.3 million; "Something Borrowed" seventh with $7 million; "Water for Elephants" eighth with $4.1 million; and "Tyler Perry's Madea's Big Happy Family" ninth with $2.2 million.

"Soul Surfer" was 10th with $1.8 million.
