NEW YORK, April 21 (UPI) -- Actress Shelley Long is to star in writer Ted Koland's directorial debut, "Lumpy," which is being shot on location in Minnesota, the film's producers said.

Dave Abbitt, managing member of Coll-Abbitt Productions, announced Wednesday that Justin Long, Jess Weixler, Michael Landes, Evan Jones, Tyler Labine and Addison Timlin will co-star in the picture.

"We are so fortunate 'Lumpy' attracted such an amazing cast," Abbitt said in a statement. "It's a testament to the depth and poignancy of Ted's original screenplay."

"The best man at Scott and Kristin's Arizona destination wedding, Lumpy is the life of the party, until a long, indulgent night leads to his untimely death," a synopsis of the film said. "Forced to cancel their honeymoon and fly back to Minneapolis to arrange for his funeral, Scott and Kristin meet Ramsey and learn that Lumpy isn't quite who they thought he was."
