LOS ANGELES, March 15 (UPI) -- U.S. actor Seann William Scott has checked into a treatment facility for "health and personal issues," his publicist told People.com Tuesday.

Scott, 34, co-starred in "American Pie," "The Dukes of Hazzard," "Dude, Where's My Car?," "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back," "Role Models" and "Cop Out."

"Seann William Scott has voluntarily admitted himself for proactive treatment to address health and personal issues," Scott's representative said in a statement. "He appreciates the support of his many fans at this time."

No other details were immediately reported on where he is or the nature of his treatment.
