Johansson's father collapses in N.Y.

NEW YORK, Feb. 25 (UPI) -- Karsten Johansson, the father of actress Scarlett Johansson, was hospitalized in critical but stable condition after collapsing on a New York street.

The 67-year-old Danish-born architect was taken to Bellevue Hospital after he slashed open his face when he fell near his Manhattan home at 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, the New York Post reported.

"Family members stated he's suffered from an aneurism in the past," a source told the Post.

Scarlett Johansson, who is scheduled to be a presenter at Sunday's Oscars ceremony, was in Los Angeles at the time her father fell ill, the newspaper said.
