Robert Downey Jr. to be Oscar presenter

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif., Feb. 2 (UPI) -- Hollywood actor Robert Downey Jr. is to be a presenter at the 83rd Academy Awards ceremony, telecast producers Bruce Cohen and Don Mischer announced.

Downey has earned Oscar nominations for his leading performance in "Chaplin" and his supporting role in "Tropic Thunder." His other film credits include "Iron Man," "Iron Man 2," "Sherlock Holmes," "The Soloist," "Good Night and Good Luck," "Wonder Boys," "Restoration" and "Less than Zero."

Academy Awards for outstanding film achievements of 2010 are to be presented Feb. 27 at the Kodak Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center in Los Angeles.
