Hemsworth and Pataky marry

LOS ANGELES, Dec. 28 (UPI) -- Australian actor Chris Hemsworth has married his longtime girlfriend, Spanish actress Elsa Pataky, Hemsworth's publicist confirmed Tuesday.

Hemsworth is to play the superhero Thor in the upcoming, big-screen comic-book adaptions "The Avengers" and "Thor." He previously appeared in the new version of "Star Trek."

Pataky's film credits include "Give 'Em Hell, Malone" and "Snakes on a Plane."

People.com said the couple married over the Christmas holiday; however, no other details regarding the wedding were available.
