Encore orders Season 2 of 'In the House'

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 29 (UPI) -- Encore says it has renewed "In the House," its half-hour Hollywood news and interview show anchored by Peter Bart and Peter Guber, for a second season.

New episodes are to begin airing Dec. 9.

The show, which features conversations with entertainment industry heavyweights, is the first original series on Encore.

Guests on earlier editions of the program included Carey Mulligan, Jeremy Renner, Mark Wahlberg, James Franco, Ethan Hawke, Quentin Tarantino, Morgan Freeman, Harrison Ford, Jeff Bridges, Kathryn Bigelow, Betty White, Maria Bello, William H. Macy, Mel Brooks, Carl Reiner, Helen Mirren, Kevin Spacey, John Malkovich and many others.

"Bart and Guber are industry stalwarts whose conversations and interviews dig beneath the typical spin and gossip," Stephan Shelanski, executive vice president of programming for Starz Entertainment, said in a statement Monday.
