LOS ANGELES, Nov. 16 (UPI) -- Arnold Schwarzenegger, David Lynch, Baz Luhrmann and Jonathan Mostow were among the mourners at producer Dino De Laurentiis' Los Angeles funeral.

The Italian filmmaker -- whose credits included "La Strada," "Battle of the Bulge," "Barbarella," "Serpico," "Conan the Barbarian," "Blue Velvet" and "Hannibal" -- died last week at the age of 91.

The Hollywood Reporter said a Roman Catholic service honoring him was held Monday at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels.

His family, including his wife, Martha, and daughters Veronica, Raffaela, Carolyna and Dina, led the procession into the church, the entertainment industry trade newspaper said.

Also attending the Mass were Bob Daly, Rob Friedman, Jeff Berg, Chris McGurk, Hawk Koch, Lou Pitt, Rick Nicita and Paula Wagner, Tom Pollock, Alan Ladd Jr., Sam Raimi and Maria Shriver.

Directors Luhrmann and Lynch affectionately joked about De Laurentiis' seemingly boundless energy, The Hollywood Reporter said.

Luhrmann said he doubted the words "rest in peace" were appropriate for De Laurentiis.

"Peace, yes; rest, no -- more speed, Dino, more," Luhrmann said.

"Ten strong men on PCP did not have the energy of Dino," Lynch said.

"Life was like a game to Dino," he added. "And he knew all the players were important to the game. He did not put off for one second what could be done today."
