LOS ANGELES, Nov. 10 (UPI) -- Brittany Murphy's mother has confirmed she is writing a memoir about the U.S. actress, who died last December.
An autopsy revealed the 32-year-old star of "Clueless," "8 Mile," "Don't Say a Word" and "Sin City" died of a combination of pneumonia and the use of prescription drugs.
"This book will be my way of celebrating and honoring her extraordinary life and career," Sharon Murphy told E! News in a statement Wednesday. "Brittany was a kind, loving person who enjoyed each day, she was my life. ... I am looking forward to everyone reading the accurate account about my daughter, her life, loves and career."
She said a portion of the proceeds she receives from the book sales will be donated to charity.
