LOS ANGELES, Nov. 3 (UPI) -- A California judge has issued a warrant for Evi Quaid's arrest because she skipped her latest court hearing and forfeited $500,000 bail, officials said.

Quaid and her husband, actor Randy Quaid, have been charged with vandalism and trespassing for allegedly squatting in and causing damage to a house they previously owned.

The Los Angeles Times said Santa Barbara County Superior Court Judge Donna Geck threatened to issue a warrant for Randy's arrest, too, if he misses a court hearing later this month. He will also forfeit his $500,000 bail if he fails to appear.

This is the third time the couple, who have been married since 1989, missed a hearing in the matter.

The Times said they are still in Canada where they sought asylum and where Evi holds citizenship and can come and go as she pleases. Randy, however, is not a citizen and must stay in the country until he appears at an immigration hearing Monday, the newspaper said.

The pair said earlier this week they are on the run from a group of "Hollywood star whackers" out to ruin and possibly kill them.

Randy is best known for his work in the "National Lampoon's Vacation" movies, as well as "Brokeback Mountain," "The Paper," "Kingpin" and "Independence Day."
