LONDON, Sept. 23 (UPI) -- Irish actor Michael Gambon has returned to London's West End stage a year after dropping out of Alan Bennett's "The Habit of Art" due to illness.
Gambon, 69, can be seen twice a night in "Krapp's Last Tape," a 52-minute play by Samuel Beckett, the BBC said.
The actor previously starred in a production of the one-man play in Dublin this year.
"I'm so used to being in the West End that I find it quite usual," the British broadcaster quoted Gambon as saying after Wednesday night's performance at the Duchess Theatre. "First night is a bit frightening but you deal with it."
Gambon is perhaps best known for taking over the role of Professor Dumbledore from late actor Richard Harris in the "Harry Potter" movies.
