LOS ANGELES, June 24 (UPI) -- U.S. actress Lindsay Lohan denies she was hours late for a magazine layout shoot and accuses Bravo of setting her up "for ratings."

Lohan, the subject of Tuesday's episode of "Double Exposure" on Bravo, kept photographers and stylists waiting 8 hours, leading to "angry staff and escalating overtime costs, " Bravo said in a synopsis of the episode.

However, the "Mean Girls" and "Freaky Friday" star said via Twitter the story "couldn't be more untrue," The Money Times reported online Wednesday.

"Sucks when 'friends' use you (in this case for ratings) even if they're lying," the tweet said.

"As for BRAVO and their false representation of me on their new show; I was given the wrong call time-now I know on purpose ... it was a set-up," she said.

"I don't appreciate being used for press, and I'm sure others would agree! Love to everyone."

The "Double Exposure" episode followed celebrated photographers Markus Klinko and Indrani, along with stylist GK Reid, as they work with Lohan on a sexy spread for Out Magazine.

"After an 8-hour wait and faced with angry staff and escalating overtime costs, Markus, Indrani and G.K. do everything they can to keep it together amidst a wild and unpredictable shoot with Lindsay Lohan," Bravo said in a synopsis of the episode.

Klinko says in the episode if he had to choose between "a celebrity that's perfectly on time and perfectly boring, I would much rather take Lindsay."
