Howard, Grazer to get humanitarian award

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif., May 5 (UPI) -- The Simon Wiesenthal Center says it plans to present film director Ron Howard and producer Brian Grazer with its 2010 Humanitarian Award.

The filmmakers are to be honored at the center's ceremony Wednesday evening at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif., Universal Pictures said.

Expected to attend the event are Julie Chen, Russell Crowe, Adam Fogelson, Rabbi Marvin Hier, Alan Horn, Bob Iger, Jeffrey Katzenberg, Ryan Kavanaugh, Donna Langley, Jay Leno, Ron Meyer, Les Moonves, Brett Ratner, Jeff Robinov, Rich Ross and Jeff Zucker.

Howard and Grazer worked together on the movies "A Beautiful Mind," "Cinderella Man," "The Da Vinci Code," "Frost/Nixon" and "Angels & Demons."
