LOS ANGELES, April 12 (UPI) -- The date has been set for the 31st annual Razzie Awards ceremony in Los Angeles, organizers said Monday.

The Razzies recognize the previous year's worst in film and are traditionally announced the night before the Academy Awards, celebrating the best in movies, are handed out.

The 31st annual Razzies presentation is to take place Feb. 26, 2011.

"With Sandra Bullock having just followed in the footsteps of Halle Berry, Bill Cosby and Ben Affleck to good-naturedly accept a Razzie statuette, The Golden Raspberry Award Foundation is exploring the possibility of a first-ever television broadcast of their award ceremonies next spring as well as developing other Razzie-branded entertainment properties," the foundation said in a news release.

Bullock won her Razzie this year for the comedy "All About Steve." "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" was named the worst picture of 2009 and the blockbuster's director, Michael Bay, also earned the Golden Raspberry for worst director.

The worst actor title was shared by the fraternal pop band The Jonas Brothers, who played themselves in "Jonas Brothers: The 3-D Concert Experience."
