'Avatar' again flies high at box office

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 10 (UPI) -- "Avatar" dominated the U.S. box office for the fourth straight weekend, coming in No. 1 with $48.5 million in estimated receipts.

"Sherlock Holmes" was No. 2 with $16.61 million.

All estimates of gross box office receipts are from Box Office Mojo.

"Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel" was third with $16.3 million; "Daybreakers" fourth with $15 million; "It's Complicated" fifth with more than $11 million; "Leap Year" sixth with more than $9.16 million; "The Blind Side" seventh with $7.75 million.

"Up in the Air" was eighth with $7.1 million; "Youth in Revolt" ninth with $7 million.

And "The Princess and the Frog" was 10th with $4.7 million.
