DiCaprio to present Globe to Scorsese

HOLLYWOOD, Dec. 18 (UPI) -- U.S. actors Robert De Niro and Leonardo DiCaprio are to present the Cecil B. DeMille Award to Martin Scorsese at the 67th annual Golden Globe Awards ceremony.

De Niro starred in Scorsese's classic films "Mean Streets," "Raging Bull," "Taxi Driver," "Goodfellas" and "Casino."

DiCaprio headlined Scorsese's celebrated recent hits "The Departed," "The Aviator" and "Gangs of New York." He also is the star of the filmmaker's upcoming thriller "Shutter Island."

The actors are to present their frequent director with the lifetime achievement award at the Golden Globes event Jan. 17. British comedian Ricky Gervais is to serve as host of the show, which will be broadcast live on NBC from The Beverly Hilton.
