LOS ANGELES, Aug. 22 (UPI) -- Actress Megan Fox has filed for divorce from actor Brian Austin Green, her husband of about five years. People magazine reported Fox's legal documents cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for their June 15 breakup.

The 29-year-old actress requested joint physical and legal custody of Noah, 2, and Bodhi, 1 -- her sons with Green, who is 42.
"Megan and Brian's split is a classic Hollywood story of two people in different stages of life and career," an insider said of the estranged spouses, who began dating when Fox was 18 and Green was 30.
"Megan is young and hot and sought-after for work, and she is eager to move ahead in her career," the source added. "Brian wants more of her time than she can allow."
