John Mayer has returned to music with new single "Paper Doll" after a lengthy battle with throat issues.

With the song, he released a video starring viral Prancercise star Joanna Rohrback.

Rohrback, 61, opens with an introduction to the horse-inspired "romancercise" and trots continuously down a residential street to the song in what may be the most bizarre music-exercise combo ever: a "prance to romance to."

"I think what [Mayer] did was very courageous; it was not just flouncy Hollywood stuff," Rohrback said.

For the shoot, Rohrback picked her own wardrobe and spent three hours filming with Mayer's producers in Fort Lauderdale.

"I admire the music and what he's done, and I love the song."

Lyrics appear onscreen beside Rohrback, and rumors have arisen that the song is about Mayer's ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift.

Rohrback said she thinks the rumors are true. The song “is definitely a response to Taylor Swift. I would definitely make that assumption,” Rohrback said.

In the song, Mayer sings, “You’re like 22 girls in one, and none of them know what they’re running from.” Fans have speculated the song is a response to Swift’s “Dear John,” a track thought to be about Mayer. On top of that, Swift’s current single is called “22.”
