Women's Wear Daily confirmed Wednesday that Dior has chosen Robert Pattinson as the new face of its Dior fragrance for men, Dior Homme.

Dior's announcement lauded the acting talents of the young performer, but failed to mention his work as "Twilight" heartthrob Edward Cullen.

He has since proven the scope of his acting talents by choosing films as varied as "Remember Me" by Allen Coulter, "Water for Elephants" by Francis Lawrence, in which he starred alongside Reese Witherspoon, or with his role as "Bel-Ami," the famous Maupassant character.

Today we are excited to announce that he will join the privileged circle of Dior faces. Photographed by American artist Nan Goldin and filmed by French director Romain Gavras, this new Dior Homme communication campaign is currently broadcast exclusively in Europe (except UK) and Asia (except China and Japan).

According to Vogue UK, Pattinson will join other Dior fragrance faces like Natalie Portman and Charlize Theron.

He will appear in television and print campaigns for the brand due out in September. For an idea of what they'll look like, MTV points to Jorge Perez Jr.'s Instagram photo from a Dior event:
