Aug. 5 (UPI) -- Zac Efron has taken to social media to thank fans for their support after his weekend hospitalization in Spain. Efron received medical treatment following a minor medical incident at the pool at a villa where he was staying in Ibiza.

His publicist confirmed he was "fine" after the incident and taken to a hospital as a precautionary measure, but did not offer any details about what actually happened.
"Happy and healthy. Thanks for the well wishes," Efron wrote on his Instagram Stories Sunday.
The message was alongside a photo of him exercising shirtless outside.
Efron is known for his roles in Family Affair, The Greatest Showman, Neighbors, the High School Musical franchise and Hairspray.
In 2022, he revealed he had broken his jaw after falling into a granite fountain at his home while he was running with socks on. He had to undergo surgery and physical therapy to treat the injury.
The actor has been touring Europe this summer, stopping in St. Tropez, Mykonos and Paris.
