2025 awards show schedule: How to watch

Jan. 15 (UPI) -- The Grammy Awards, Academy Awards and other award shows will return in 2025 to honor the best in film, television, music and more.

Some award shows have delayed nomination announcements or ceremony dates due to the California wildfires.

The GLAAD Media Awards, Academy of Country Music Awards and American Music Awards are coming up next in the awards season.

Here are the details on upcoming shows:

GLAAD Media Awards - March 27

The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) presents the GLAAD Media Awards to celebrate LGBTQ creators and stories across film, television, music and other media.

The 36th annual ceremony will take place March 27 in Los Angeles and stream April 12 on Hulu.

Wicked, Baby Reindeer, Hacks, Shrinking and Arcane are among this year's nominees.

Academy of Country Music Awards - May 8

The ACM Awards are presented by the Academy of Country Music to celebrate country music's biggest stars and emerging talent.

The 60th annual ceremony will be held May 8 at Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas, and stream at 8 p.m. EDT on Prime Video.

Reba McEntire will return to host the show for the 18th time.

Blake Shelton, Lainey Wilson and Eric Church will perform.

Ella Langley leads this year's nominees with eight nominations, followed by Cody Johnson, Morgan Wallen and Lainey Wilson with seven nominations each. Chris Stapleton is up for six awards, while Riley Green and Post Malone are both nominated for five.

American Music Awards - May 26

Dick Clark Productions presents the American Music Awards to honor outstanding achievements in the music industry based on commercial performance, including sales and airplay. Winners are selected by fan vote.

The awards show will return May 26 after a three-year absence and air live at 8 p.m. EDT on CBS. It will also stream on Paramount+.

Tony Awards - June 8

The Broadway League and American Theatre Wing present the Tonys to honor theater professionals for distinguished achievement on Broadway.

The 78th annual ceremony will take place June 8 at Radio City Music Hall in New York City and air at 8 p.m. EDT on CBS. The event will also stream on Paramount+.

Here are the details on past award shows:

CMT Music Awards - April 7, 2024

The CMT Music Awards are presented by CMT. The fan-voted awards show celebrates favorite country music videos and television performances.

Kelsea Ballerini hosted the 2024 ceremony April 7 at Moody Center in Austin, Texas. The show aired on CBS and is also available to stream on Paramount+.

Lainey Wilson, Brooks and Dunn, and Sammy Hagar performed tributes to late singer Toby Keith.

Jelly Roll was the night's big winner with three awards, including Video of the Year and Male Vide of the Year for "Need a Favor."

Latin American Music Awards - April 25

The Latin AMAs is a counterpart to the American Music Awards that honors Spanish-speaking artists.

The ninth annual awards show took place April 25 at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and aired on Univision, UniMás and Galavisión. The show also streamed on ViX.

Thalía, Alejandra Espinoza and Carlos Ponce hosted the ceremony, which celebrated the theme "We Speak Música" this year.

Karol G and Feid were among the night's big winners.

Webby Awards - May 13

The International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences presents the Webbys to recognize excellence on the Internet, including in advertising and media, online film and video, mobile sites and apps, and social media.

The 28th annual ceremony took place May 13 in New York City.

Actress and comedian Amber Ruffin hosted the event for the second time.

Academy of Country Music Awards - May 16

The ACM Awards are presented by the Academy of Country Music to celebrate country music's biggest stars and emerging talent.

The 59th annual ceremony took place May 16 at Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas, and streamed live on Prime Video.

Reba McEntire performed and hosted the awards show for the 17th time.

Chris Stapleton and Lainey Wilson were among the night's big winners.

Daytime Emmy Awards - June 7

The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences presents the Daytime Emmys to recognize outstanding achievement in television programming and crafts, including daytime dramas, talk shows, instructional programming, hosting, culinary and legal/courtroom programs.

The 51st annual ceremony took place June 7 at the Westin Bonaventure in Los Angeles and aired on CBS.

Entertainment Tonight hosts Kevin Frazier and Nischelle Turner hosted the event.

General Hospital, The Kelly Clarkson Show and Dick Van Dyke were among the night's winners.

Tony Awards - June 16

The Tonys are presented by the Broadway League and American Theatre Wing to honor theater professionals for distinguished achievement on Broadway.

The 77th annual awards show took place June 16 at the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts in New York City and aired on CBS.

Ariana DeBose, a singer and actress who starred in West Side Story (2021), hosted the event for the third consecutive year.

Outsiders, Daniel Radcliffe, Jeremy Strong, Sarah Paulson and Jonathan Groff were among the night's winners.

BET Awards - June 30

BET presents the BET Awards to celebrate Black excellence across music, television, film, and sports.

The 24th annual ceremony took place June 30 at Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles and aired on BET.

Empire actress Taraji P. Henson hosted the event for the third time.

Killer Mike and SZA were among the big winners of the night, while Usher received the lifetime achievement award.

Television Critics Association Awards - July 12

The Television Critics Association presents the TCA Awards to recognize excellence in television.

The 40th annual ceremony was held July 12 at The Langham Huntington in Pasadena, Calif.

Shogun and Hacks were among the big winners.

Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards - July 13

The Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards is a children's awards show presented by Nickelodeon to honor fan favorites in television, film, music and sports.

The 2024 ceremony was hosted by SpongeBob SquarePants (voiced by Tom Kenny) and Patrick Star (voiced by Bill Fagerbakke) from Bikini Bottom and aired on Nickelodeon.

Barbie, Percy Jackson and the Olympians and Taylor Swift were among the big winners.

MTV Video Music Awards - Sept. 11

The MTV VMAs is a fan-voted awards show celebrating the best in music videos.

The 2024 ceremony took place Sept. 11 at UBS Arena in New York and aired on MTV.

Megan Thee Stallion hosted the event. Performers included Eminem, Sabrina Carpenter, Megan Thee Stallion, Chappell Roan, Blackpink's Lisa, Karol G and Shawn Mendes.

Katy Perry received the Video Vanguard Award and performed a medley of her greatest hits.

Taylor Swift, Chappel Roan, Eminem and SZA were among the night's big winners.

Primetime Emmy Awards - Sept. 15

The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences presents the Primetime Emmys to recognize excellence in American primetime television programming.

The 76th annual awards show took place Sept. 15 at Peacock Theater in Los Angeles and aired on ABC.

Father and son and Schitt's Creek co-stars Eugene Levy and Dan Levy hosted the ceremony. Selena Gomez, Dick Van Dyke, Viola Davis, Colin Farrell, Lily Gladstone, Martin Sheen, Martin Short, Jean Smart and other stars presented awards.

Shōgun, The Bear, Baby Reindeer and True Detective: Night Country were among the night's big winners.

The 2023 Primetime Emmys were held this January after being delayed due to the Hollywood writers and actors strikes.

People's Choice Country Awards - Sept. 26

The People's Choice Country Awards is an off-shoot of the People's Choice Awards that honors popular country music artists.

The second annual fan-voted awards show was held Sept. 26 at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville and aired on NBC. The event also streamed on Peacock.

Shania Twain hosted the ceremony.

Morgan Wallen and Lainey Wilson were among the night's big winners.

Miranda Lambert was honored with the Country Icon Award.

American Music Awards - Postponed to May 2025

The American Music Awards is presented by Dick Clark Productions. The fan-voted awards show honors outstanding achievements in the music industry.

This year's ceremony was originally scheduled to take place Oct. 6 and has been moved to May 2025. Instead, the American Music Awards 50th Anniversary Special, a TV special celebrating the show's 50th anniversary, aired Oct. 6 on CBS and streamed on Paramount+.

Kane Brown, Mariah Carey, Green Day, Jennifer Hudson, Chaka Khan, K-pop group Stray Kids, Gladys Knight, Brad Paisley and other artists performed during the special.

BET Hip Hop Awards - Oct. 8

BET presents the BET Hip Hop Awards to celebrate Black culture and highlight the best in hip hop music.

This year's ceremony took place Oct. 8 and aired Oct. 15 at 8 p.m. EDT on BET. The event was held in Las Vegas for the first time; the awards show debuted in 2006 and was previously held in Atlanta and Miami.

Kendrick Lamar, Metro Boomin and Future were among the big winners of the night.

Billboard Latin Music Awards - Oct. 20

Billboard presents the Billboard Latin Music Awards to honor the most popular albums, songs and performers in Latin music.

This year's ceremony was held Oct. 17 in Miami and aired Oct. 20 on Telemundo and Universo. The show also streamed on Peacock.

Karol G, Bad Bunny and Peso Pluma were among the night's big winners.

Pepe Aguilar received this year's Billboard Hall of Fame Award.

Country Music Association Awards - Nov. 20

The Country Music Association presents the CMA Awards to recognize outstanding achievements in the country music industry.

The 58th annual awards show was held Nov. 20 at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville and aired on ABC. The event also streamed on Hulu.

Chris Stapleton and Post Malone opened the ceremony with a performance of their song "California Sober." Other performers included Luke Bryan, Lainey Wilson, Dierks Bentley, Ashley McBryde and Thomas Rhett.

International Emmy Awards - Nov. 25

The International Emmys are presented by the International Academy of Television Arts and Sciences to recognize excellence in television produced outside of the United States.

Indian actor and comedian Vir Das hosted the 52nd annual ceremony, which took place Nov. 25 in New York City.

David E. Kelley, Timothy Spall and Aokbab-Chutimon Chuengcharoensukying were among the night's big winners.

Billboard Music Awards - Dec. 12

Billboard presents the Billboard Music Awards to honor achievements in the music industry, based on album and digital song sales, streaming, radio airplay, touring, and social engagement.

This year's ceremony was held Dec. 12 and aired on Fox and Fire TV channels. The show is also available on-demand on Paramount+.

Actress and comedian Michelle Buteau hosted the event.

Taylor Swift and Zach Bryan were among the big winners of the night.

Golden Globe Awards - Jan. 5, 2025

The Golden Globe Awards, or Golden Globes, are presented by Dick Clark Productions to recognize excellence in film and television.

Actress and comedian Nikki Glaser hosted the 82nd annual ceremony, which took place Jan. 5 and aired on CBS. The show also streamed on Paramount+.

Grammy Awards - Feb. 2

The Recording Academy presents the Grammys to recognize outstanding achievements in the music industry.

The 67th annual ceremony was held Feb. 2 at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. The show aired live on CBS and streamed on Paramount+.

Comedian and former Daily Show host Trevor Noah hosted the event for his fifth consecutive year.

Beyoncé, Kendrick Lamar, Shakira and Chappell Roan were among the big winners of the night.

Critics Choice Awards - Feb. 7

The Critics Choice Association presents the Critics Choice Awards to honor the finest in cinematic and television achievement.

The 30th annual awards show was originally to take place Jan. 12 at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, Calif., but was postponed to Jan. 26 due to the California wildfires. It was delayed again to Feb. 7.

Comedian Chelsea Handler hosted the event for a third time.

Anora, Conclave and Baby Reindeer were among the big winners of the night.

Producers Guild of America Awards - Feb. 8

The Producers Guild of America presents its annual awards show to honor producers in film and television.

The 36th annual ceremony took place Feb. 8 at Fairmont Century Plaza in Los Angeles.

Anora, Hacks and Shogun were among the night's big winners.

Late producers Lynda Obst (Sleepless in Seattle) and Paula Weinstein (Grace & Frankie) were honored with a posthumous Trailblazer Award.

British Academy Film Awards - Feb. 16

The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) presents the British Academy Film Awards, or BAFTA Film Awards, to honor the best British and international contributions to film.

The 78th annual ceremony was held Feb. 16 at Royal Albert Hall in London and streamed on Britbox.

Actor David Tennant, known for Doctor Who, Jessica Jones and Good Omens, hosted the event.

Conclave, Emilia Perez and The Brutalist were among the big winners of the night.

Independent Spirit Awards - Feb. 22

Film Independent presents the Independent Spirit Awards to recognize the best in independent film and television.

The 40th annual ceremony took place Feb. 22 at Santa Monica Pier in Santa Monica, Calif., and streamed on the Film Independent and IMDb YouTube channels.

Actress and comedian Aidy Bryant hosted the event.

NAACP Image Awards - Feb. 22

The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) presents the NAACP Image Awards to honor outstanding performances by people of color in film, television, music, theater and literature.

The 56th annual ceremony was held Feb. 22 at Pasadena Civic Auditorium in Pasadena, Calif. The show aired on BET and was simulcast on CBS.

Screen Actors Guild Awards - Feb. 23
