May 16 (UPI) -- The Iron Giant, Taz from Looney Tunes and Velma from Scooby-Doo are introduced in a new cinematic trailer for upcoming crossover fighting game, MultiVersus.
MultiVersus, from developer Player First Games and publisher Warner Bros. Games, contains characters from DC Comics, Looney Tunes, Game of Thrones, Cartoon Network and more.
The trailer, released on Monday, begins with Batman being transported to a fighting stage along with Shaggy from Scooby-Doo. The duo end up fighting Bugs Bunny and Arya Stark from Game of Thrones.
Taz enters the battle by teaming up with Harley Quinn as they face Garnet from Steven Universe and Jake the Dog from Adventure Time.
The Iron Giant, who hails from the classic animated film of the same name, later joins Superman in the skies as the hero tries to figure out what is going on. The pairing is fitting as The Iron Giant was inspired by Superman in his film.
The trailer ends with a larger look at the game's cast, with Velma making her debut.
Other characters that will be playable in MultiVersus include Wonder Woman, Tom and Jerry and Steven Universe himself. More characters will be announced at a later time.
MultiVersus will be free-to-play and is coming to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One and PC in 2022.
An open beta for the game will be taking place in July. Players can register on the game's official website for chance to take part in a closed beta, which runs from May 19-27. Registration does not guarantee entry into the closed beta.
