2022 awards show schedule: How to watch

Jan. 28 (UPI) -- The Tony Awards, BET Awards and other awards shows will return in 2022 to honor the best in film, television, music and more.

Ceremonies will take place both in person and with no live audience as events continue to be affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Here are the details on this year's awards shows:

Daytime Emmy Awards -- June 24

The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences presents the Daytime Emmy Awards to honor excellence in American talk shows, soap operas and other daytime television programming.

This year's ceremony will take place June 24 at Pasadena Civic Auditorium in Pasadena, Calif., and air at 9 p.m. EDT on CBS. The show will also be available to stream on Paramount+.

Drew Barrymore, Jerry O'Connell and Tamron Hall are among the presenters.

Soap operas Days of Our Lives, General Hospital, The Bold and the Beautiful and The Young and the Restless lead the nominees.

John Aniston will be honored with a Lifetime Achievement award at the ceremony.

BET Awards -- June 26

The 2022 BET Awards are set to take place on June 26 at 8 p.m. EDT from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.

Award-winning actress Taraji P. Henson will host the event for the second year in a row. Lizzo, Giveon and Chloe Bailey will perform at the show.

Sean "Diddy" Combs will be honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the ceremony.

MTV Europe Music Awards -- Nov. 13

The MTV Europe Music Awards, or MTV EMAs, honor musical artists from around the globe.

This year's ceremony will take place Nov. 13 at PSD Bank Dome in Düsseldorf, Germany, which will mark the sixth time the country has hosted the awards show.

The 2022 host, performers and nominees have yet to be announced. The 2021 awards show took place in Budapest, Hungary, and was hosted by singer and rapper Saweetie.
