Robert Pattinson, Lily Collins, Ewan McGregor to host Go Campaign gala

Oct. 5 (UPI) -- Actors and Go Campaign global ambassadors Robert Pattinson, Lily Collins and Ewan McGregor will co-host the organization's 15th anniversary gala this month.

Go Campaign, a non-profit that raises awareness and funds for vulnerable children around the world, announced Tuesday that Pattinson, Collins and McGregor will host Go Gala on Oct. 23.

The virtual event will support Go Campaign's efforts for COVID-19 relief across the globe and racial justice for young Americans. The funds will also support at-risk children in Africa and Latin America, as well as girls in Afghanistan.

"Go Campaign has a proven track record of making real, meaningful change in communities around the world," Pattinson said in a statement. "The funds raised at the Go Gala bring opportunities and resources to some of the most vulnerable children that may otherwise be left behind. Every dollar donated to Go Campaign is a dollar invested wisely in the future generation."

Go Campaign has provided PPE, oximeters, food, daily health checks and access to vaccinations to children and families throughout the pandemic, including 1.7 million meals and more than 46,000 masks.

"As part of the Go Campaign family, I've watched the organization grow and expand since the very beginning," McGregor said. "I've seen first-hand the lives that have been radically changed because of Go... it's truly amazing."

The Go Gala will stream for free.
