Spears has been under a conservatorship since 2008. Last week, a Los Angeles judge suspended Jamie Spears as Spears' conservator and appointed certified public accountant John Zabel to serve as temporary manager of her finances.

Jamie Spears had filed in August to step down as conservator of Spears' estate.

Page Six said Spears was on vacation with her fiancé, Sam Asghari, when she received the news that her father had been suspended from the conservatorship.

Spears and Asghari got engaged in September after nearly five years of dating. Spears asked fans where they should get married in a post Monday.
