Oct. 5 (UPI) -- Britney Spears is feeling grateful for the #FreeBritney movement.

The 39-year-old singer thanked fans in a video Monday on Instagram following news her father, Jamie Spears, was suspended from her conservatorship.

"#FreeBritney movement ... I have no words ... because of you guys and your constant resilience in freeing me from my conservatorship ... my life is now in that direction!!!!!" Spears captioned the post.

"I cried last night for two hours cause my fans are the best and I know it ... I feel your hearts and you feel mine ... that much I know is true!!!!!" she said.

Spears has been under a conservatorship since 2008. Last week, a Los Angeles judge suspended Jamie Spears as Spears' conservator and appointed certified public accountant John Zabel to serve as temporary manager of her finances.

Jamie Spears had filed in August to step down as conservator of Spears' estate.

Page Six said Spears was on vacation with her fiancé, Sam Asghari, when she received the news that her father had been suspended from the conservatorship.

Spears and Asghari got engaged in September after nearly five years of dating. Spears asked fans where they should get married in a post Monday.
