Keshia Knight Pulliam marries Brad James at 'magical' wedding

Oct. 4 (UPI) -- Keshia Knight Pulliam is a married woman.

The 42-year-old actress married her fiancé, Brad James, at an intimate wedding at their home last week.

Pulliam shared the news over the weekend on Instagram alongside photos from her "magical" wedding.

"Last week my life forever changed... I married my best friend at our home surrounded by family & it was magical!!!" Pulliam captioned the post.

"It wasn't the large destination wedding we were originally planning. Instead, it was intimate, whimsical, full of love, laughter and joy... Absolutely perfect!!" she said. "Maybe one day I will share the events that inspired our change of plans. However, for now I can say God makes no mistakes & the joy is in the journey."

Pulliam said the COVID-19 pandemic has taught her "to live in the moment" and be grateful for "the present."

"Thank you to everyone who celebrated with us!! Most of all thank you to @mrbradjames my amazing husband, my person, my soulmate," she said. "Thank you for renewing my vulnerability & faith in unconditionally love."

James, an actor known for For Better or Worse and A House Divided, confirmed the news in a post on his own account.

"The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step..." James wrote. "I'm grateful to take mine with you.. my friend, my counselor, business partner, travel buddy, co-parent, trip advisor, lover, movie critic, negotiator, ride not die-er, designated driver (even tho I'm a better driver) chef, spiritual healer, and so much more."

"I love you eternally, and gift you with my tribe and family who will protect and support you and our family be any means necessary," he said.

Pulliam and James started dating in 2019 after meeting on the set of the TV movie Pride and Prejudice: Atlanta. The couple got engaged in December 2020.

Pulliam was previously married to Ed Hartwell and has a 4-year-old daughter, Ella Grace, with her ex.

Pulliam came to fame by playing Rudy Huxtable on The Cosby Show. She portrays Miranda Lucas Payne on the TBS series Tyler Perry's House of Payne.
