Sept. 14 (UPI) -- Rihanna and A$AP Rocky closed out the Met Gala red carpet together.
Rihanna donned a black, coat dress from Balenciaga by designer Demna Gvasalia. The singer also wore a jewelry piece on her head and a sparkling necklace.
A$AP Rocky, who arrived fashionably late with Rihanna, first wore a multi-colored coat that resembled a quilted blanket. The outfit hails from the ERL spring 2022 collection by designer Russell Linnetz.
A$AP Rocky then later donned a more traditional black suit with an untucked white dress shirt underneath.
The Met Gala returned on Monday with the launch of the "In America: A Lexicon of Fashion" exhibit.
The Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute will next present a larger gala on May 2, 2022 for the launch of the "In America: An Anthology of Fashion" exhibit.
Billie Eilish, Timothée Chalamet, Naomi Osaka and Amanda Gorman served as co-chairs for the 2021 Met Gala. Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, designer Tom Ford and Instagram head Adam Mosseri served as honorary chairs.
