"There's a special significance for portraying Catwoman," Rivera said alongside footage of the film that features Catwoman finding a stash of money and interacting with Batman, voiced by Jensen Ackles.

"Every actress that I've ever loved has played Catwoman in some shape or form. I'm honored that I get to play it for this movie," she continued.

Batman: The Long Halloween is based on the popular comic book series of the same name by writer Jeph Loeb and artist Tim Sale. The animated version is split into two parts, with part one releasing Tuesday on digital and blu-ray. Part two will be released on July 27.

Josh Duhamel as Harvey Dent, Troy Baker as The Joker, Billy Burke as Commissioner Gordon, Alastair Duncan as Alfred Pennyworth, Jack Quaid as Alberto Falcone, David Dastmalchian as Calendar Man, Amy Landecker as Barbara Gordon and Titus Welliver as Carmine Falcone also star.
